Effect Audio announces two new pairs of IEMs – the Axiom and Axiom XP.

Effect Audio has just announced its newest releases, the Axiom and Axiom XP IEMs.

After King Arthur, which was their first IEM release coming at a screaming edge price of $6999, now it’s time for a second attempt, and even though it’s not as extreme as the previously mentioned King Arthur, I actually think that these are actually a more interesting launch. Let’s dive into it.

First of all, there’s no cable included. Yes, Effect Audio, THE company that stands behind an aftermarket IEM cables market doesn’t include the cable with their new IEM. Ironic? No, pretty smart actually.

That’s because both Axiom and Axiom XP are a first of a kind, modular connector IEMs. After coming up with their absolutely brilliant conX connectors, now they simply transferred it into IEMs. The “Modular Unit” basically let’s you change between the MMCX or 2-pin CIEM connectors at anytime. Yes, you don’t have to worry if your favorite high-end cable will work with these…basically everything will.

Other than this impressive technology, both IEMs are claimed to have a very neutral/natural tuning that’s going to be easy to listen to. As for the drivers used, both IEMs will use a 12mm Dynamic Driver as well as twinned Armature Drivers from Knowles.

I’ll leave the rest for the review, that’ll be coming at Ear Fidelity in some time. It’ll definitely be worth a wait!
